THERAPIST, EDUCATOR & CREATOR OF PATHWAY TO A FULL PRACTICE
Practice-building is an essential element of your professional journey, not an afterthought.
From defining what’s unique about your work, to building trust with your clients, building your reputation in your community, and building behind-the-scenes systems...you deserve a holistic approach that sets you up for success in the long run.
That's why I created Pathway to a Full Practice - a practical, values-led alternative to mainstream marketing, based on therapeutic principles like safety, consent, and empowerment.
"Nothing about mainstream marketing sits comfortably with me. I hate the hard sell, the social media frenzy. Sara's approach is soulful, compassionate and humane."
The Pathway to a Full Practice Difference
Compassion & Support
for hands-on, mind-body and talking therapists.
02
The Antidote to Hustle
A calmer alternative to constant self-promotion and performative marketing. In an always-on, algorithm-driven world, you don’t have to shout louder or share more. This approach is rooted in creating safety, trust and empowerment
03
Compassion & Support
Confidence grows through encouragement. Self-doubt and second-guessing can stall even the most capable practitioners. Building a practice means having the support to take steady steps, stay true to yourself, and protect your energy and wellbeing along the way.
04
Genuinely Good Advice
No 50-point marketing checklists or generic business advice. Instead: practical, relevant guidance for building credibility and trust, from a client’s first search through to their first session and beyond.

The Whole Journey
A way of building a practice that holds the whole picture - not just visibility and bookings, but reputation, relationships and client care. This is about becoming known for the work you do, building trust over time, and creating a practice that feels professional, boundaried and genuinely supportive, for you and your clients.
I didn’t start out with a clear plan for building a practice. Like many newly qualified therapists, I was passionate about the work itself, and a bit overwhelmed by everything else.
Marketing felt uncomfortable, confusing, and oddly at odds with the values that had drawn me to therapeutic work in the first place. I wondered, was it a lack of confidence? Was it because I was an introvert? Or was I just not cut out to be self-employed?
I tried following advice that didn’t really fit, before realising that the problem wasn’t me - it was the approach.

I decided to trust that what made me a good therapist
inside the treatment room was also the best way
to grow my practice outside the treatment room.
Instead of trying to master social media or network harder, I took therapeutic principles - things like safety, consent, empathy, empowerment - and applied them to everything. From how I showed up, to what I wrote on my website, to how clients experienced working with me.

It can work for you, too.
That approach became Pathway to a Full Practice
My Craniosacral Therapy practice filled, and before long I was working full-time. When I relocated to a different city a few years later, I used the same approach to build from the ground up, and to get to fully-booked with a waitlist.
It felt so much better than 'marketing'. And it worked.
It felt so much better than 'marketing'. Just as importantly, it worked. My Craniosacral Therapy practice filled, and before long I was working full-time. When I relocated to a new city a few years later, I used the same approach, and grew to fully-booked with a waitlist.
I’m based in Wellington, New Zealand, supporting self-employed therapists around the world. Drawing on over two decades in holistic health, thousands of one-to-one clinic hours, and a background in language and communication, I teach therapists how to build practices grounded in trust, relationships and reputation - without compromising their values.
I also partner with training organisations and professional bodies to help prepare practitioners for life beyond qualification, and to support a more thoughtful, ethical culture around practice-building in the therapy world.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me near the sea with a book, good coffee, a giant dog for company - and, occasionally, penguins.
"How do you know who to trust and what to invest in? I can wholeheartedly say that this is worth it."

"I've been a clinic manager for 13 years, and have seen first hand the challenges faced by talented therapists who deserve to have a fully booked practice. They only thing they're missing are the vital principles this course will teach you!"

Trauma specialist Dr Gabor Maté and others have shown that when we internalise messages of not being good enough, we become more susceptible to autoimmune dysfunction and chronic diseases.
I believe that as therapists, it just doesn't make sense for us to reach new clients in a way that contributes to poor physical and emotional health.
Let’s bring what we know about genuine connection beyond the treatment room - into the way we communicate, share, and grow our work.
Let's do this differently, together.
